Rocky faces change colour with every hour,
Patchwork fields and slopes of heathery flower.
Blue-green ridges like waves, high and hoary,
the sun sinks behind the peaks in a golden glory.

Steer a difficult course in sometimes treacherous water.
Constantly negotiate between the past and the demands of the modern world.
Strive to gain a place in this world and fear breaking faith with the old one.
