A sketch of work in progress; a collaboration with Strong Like Ox. Ableton, Resolume, field recordings & DIY/vintage hardware.

4 layers. Audio: 3 layers of vari-speed field recordings. Video: 4 layers of reactive & generative motion graphics; feedback, gradient & line generators.

5 layers of audio & video. Field recordings & generative & reactive video with effects.

5 layers of video. 4 Layers of audio. Audio from Ableton: 2x beats, 2x bass synths (virtual 101). Video generators in Resolume: 2x solid colours, 1x line generator, 1x Branches, 1x feedback generator. Some parameters to clocks (60, 120, 240 BPM) other parameters reactive to audio amplitude, other parameters to random.

Play heads set to ‘random’ (Non-linear). Lots of filters. Four layers.

Three layers. Video: Line Generators x2. Solid Colour. Audio: Beats x2. Keys. Parameters controlled by amplitude or 128BPM clock. Avenue. Ableton. Max for Live.

Five layers. Video: Line generators x2. Feedback Generator. Gradient Generators x2. Audio: audacity edits of ARC improvisation session (2015). Percussion. Double bass. DIY electronics.

Three layers. Some parameters driven by a slow clock, others by amplitude. Audio: DIY synth, Ableton softsynth x2 Video: Line generator x2, feedback generator. Reactive & Generative.

Video: solid colours, line generators, feedback generators. Audio: field recordings of crickets on a very hot (47 degrees centigrade) day in Wattayah, and the drone from a solar-powered DIY feedback oscillator. Many animated parameters synched to a 30 bpm clock (elephant trivia). Five layers.

Video: three layers: line generator, static generator, feedback. Audio: three layers: field recordings of a solar powered feedback oscillator. My feedback circuit uses an amplifier IC: here’s a different, fun little circuit using transistors.
